When I bought my 912, it had a cheapo VW replacement exhaust system, and I've intended to upgrade it for some time. Finally I did it. Being a cheapskate, and in need of a project, I bought a used Porsche 356 Bursch exhaust for my 912. I had to move the outlet to the other side of the car, and, as I discovered, shorten some of the plumbing. The improvement was well worth the work, however, giving a much better sound and, I believe, a few more horsepower. Here is the story of the restoration.
