Wiring at the Alternator

wiringatthealternator.jpg

The alternator has an internal regulator, so it requires only two connections: the B+ output, which goes directly to the car's battery, and the D+, which is the connection for the ignition idiot light. These are labeled B+ and 61 on the Porsche wiring diagram and on the old regulator. Because of its direct battery connection, the alternator's B+ is always hot. It would be useful if a cap for this connection were supplied with the kit.
