A photograph of a Japanese quilt was the inspiration for this quilt.
This
is similar to the center of a quilt that appeared in a catalog from a
show
in Tokyo.
Mini Feathered Stars
Each 7 1/2" feathered star block has about 130 pieces. This quilt was
pieced
on tissue paper foundations.
Pieced
and Appliqued Quilt
Pieced and appliqued using Japanese cottons and silks, and Japanese-designed
fabrics.
Rainbow 9-Patch
One hundred and twenty eight different rainbow colors were used to
create
the nine patches for the quilt. These same fabrics were used for the
applique
border.
