Goodies to Download

Here are some useful things you can download. These files are compressed with PKZip. Check out Jumbo or Shareware for other file-expansion utilities. (We particularly like WinZip.)

Serious Stuff

Demo Copy of C/NL2 (~309K)

C/NL2 is a low-cost, high-performance 32-bit linear/nonlinear simulator for RF and microwave circuits. C/NL2 runs under 32-bit versions of Windows.

This demo is full featured but is limited in the circuit size it will accommodate.

To run the demo, load the *.ZIP file into a directory of your hard drive and expand it. After expanding, see the README.WRI file.

New INIT.EXE for C/NL2 (~23K)

If you have experienced trouble initializing C/NL2 during installation, download this file. No more problems. (You do not need this for the demo program.)

TLINE: A Transmission-Line Calculator (~224K)

TLINE, from Applied Wave Research, is a very slick planar transmission-line calculator. It is shareware and must be registered, but registration is free. (32-bit Windows.)

Two-Strip Coupler and Lange-Coupler Analysis(~12K)

This is a package of three MathCAD programs which analyze two-strip couplers and 4- and 6-strip Lange couplers realized in any planar transmission medium. You must have LINPAR, from Artech House, to analyze the strip goemetry. LINPAR, however, does not give modal impedances or microwave performance for all geometries. These do. Requires LINPAR and MathCAD 5.0 or later.

DIODEMX (~110K)

DIODEMX is the latest (and probably last) update of the diode-mixer analysis program first published in the Appendix of Microwave Mixers. Pascal source code is included. (DOS program.)

Fun Stuff

Many of these are 16-bit software, but they run acceptably under all flavors of Windows.

Sliderule! (~68K)

For all you old '60s types who can't quite cope with these newfangled computer machines, here is someting to make you feel comfortable: a computerized sliderule! This is shareware.

While you're at it, check out Sphere Research's Sliderule Universe.

ECU: Astronomy (~258K)

Did you know that in Fairbanks, Alaska the sun gets only 1.25 degrees below the horizon at midnight on June 21? ECU (The Earth-Centered Universe) is the neatest shareware astronomy simulator I've ever seen. You can display a view of the night sky from any place on earth, on any date.

(Let's download another one!)
